We are pleased to inform you that GSMA in partnership with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) has launched the ‘GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation 2.0’.
This Fund aims to help accelerate the testing, adoption, and scalability of digital innovations that enable the world’s most vulnerable populations to adapt to, anticipate, and absorb the negative impacts of climate change. It will also support solutions contributing to climate resilience through activities strengthening biodiversity.
Start-ups, SMEs, and Social Enterprises from Africa, South and South-East Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Eastern Europe that leverage digital technology to deliver climate resilience and adaptation solutions to and with low-income and vulnerable populations (particularly women) are invited to apply for the fund. All applications to the Fund MUST be submitted in English. The deadline for the application submission is Tuesday, 16 May 2023 at 23:59 UTC+1 ( UK time).
Please note that while MNOs are not eligible to apply, applications from relevant organisations working in partnership with MNOs are welcomed and encouraged.
